Accomplishments 2017

[text-box]

CEO, Scott Horwitz admits “great things are happening and accomplishments are being made in the areas of expansion of our services, review of board of director accountability and giving policies, marketing through social media, plans allowing us to begin our grant writing, starting our volunteer program and enhancing our programs.”

Who is Chefsville

Chefsville is an educational non-profit, exists to help bring families together through food. Our cooking camps, cooking classes and cooking clubs are all over the Metroplex. Children connect cooking with family, community and the academics of math, science, language arts and social studies in these programs.

Kids engage in safe food handling and learn kitchen safety skills. Following safety participants engage in learning about ingredients, utensils and different cultures.

Chefsville programs are for both kids and adults. Participants are introduced to ingredients, equipment and cultures. Our recipes are as simple as possible fostering teamwork and cooperation.

This page highlights our accomplishments in 2017.

2017 AccomplishmentsMoving Forward!

Chefsville continues to expand its community offerings with quality programs improving the quality of life in the Dallas Metroplex. In 2018, plans are underway to increase the # of grant applications, release corporate giving levels, expand local corporate sponsorship opportunities, start “Lunch and Learns” around healthy eating and obesity avoidance, and build public awareness of our programs and events.

Program Evaluations

Chefsville programs provide participant evaluations. 2017 participant surveys receive high marks from the recreation centers that offer our camps and classes. Camp and school kids complete evaluation surveys. They give Chefsville very high marks for learning, enjoyment, engagement and fun.
